Job description

San Francisco, CA | Full-Time

Parkday is a premium workplace food platform building the future of food at work.

Our platform combines advanced demand planning for restaurants, personalized nutrition for users, and partnerships with some of the most celebrated restaurants in the Bay Area to create a stand out lunch experience at today's most innovative companies.

We're proud to partner with restaurants recognized by the Michelin Guide, James Beard Foundation, The Infatuation, and local favorites that define San Francisco's food scene. Every day, we help thousands of employees discover incredible food while giving independent restaurants access to a new, reliable stream of business.

This is a leadership role at the center of our daily operations, and an opportunity to grow quickly within a fast moving startup.

The role

As an Operations Manager, you'll own the daily movement behind Parkday.

From building schedules and leading our Brand Ambassador team to coordinating restaurants, clients, and deliveries, you'll make sure every service runs smoothly and every customer interaction reflects the level of hospitality we're known for.

You'll hire and manage a growing team of Brand Ambassadors while helping scale operations across the Bay Area. You'll also work closely with our engineering team to automate repetitive processes and continuously improve how we operate.

Beyond day to day operations, you'll help grow our restaurant network by identifying outstanding local restaurant partners and bringing them onto the platform.

No two days look exactly the same, which is exactly why you'll love this role.

Who this is for

This role is closest to the work of a great expediter: calm under pressure, relentlessly organized, and always thinking several steps ahead.

You enjoy owning outcomes, solving problems quickly, and making complex operations feel effortless.

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Thrive in fast paced, high volume environments
  • Have exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Love building systems that improve efficiency
  • Enjoy coaching and leading teams
  • Are excited by startups and wearing multiple hats
  • Naturally think proactively instead of reactively
  • Embrace AI tools to work smarter and move faster

What you'll do

  • Hire, manage, and lead a team of Brand Ambassadors
  • Build weekly schedules while ensuring strong staffing coverage across clients
  • Coordinate restaurants, delivery staff, and corporate clients each day
  • Deliver exceptional customer support with fast, thoughtful communication
  • Solve operational issues in real time while keeping service running smoothly
  • Work with Engineering to automate manual workflows and improve internal tools
  • Build scalable systems that elevate both operational efficiency and hospitality
  • Help launch new clients and expand Parkday throughout the Bay Area
  • Onboard new restaurant partners on the platform

What matters most

Success in this role isn't measured by how busy you are, it's measured by how consistently you execute.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Treats every delivery as a reflection of the company
  • Remains calm and solutions-oriented under pressure
  • Holds themselves and their team to a high operational standard
  • Leads by example and inspires others to perform their best
  • Thinks ahead instead of reacting to problems
  • Takes ownership and follows through

Why Parkday

We're building something different.

Parkday combines hospitality, logistics, and technology to create a food experience people genuinely look forward to every day.

Our team includes former restaurant operators, Starbucks General Managers, chefs from award winning kitchens, engineers, and startup operators who care deeply about building products people love.

You'll have real ownership from day one, the opportunity to shape how we scale in the Bay Area, and the chance to grow alongside a company that's expanding quickly.

Food delivery doesn't have to feel transactional.

We're building something people actually enjoy using and we'd love your help.

To apply, send your resume and a short cover letter to mark@heyparkday.com with the subject line Operations Manager, San Francisco.

In your cover letter, include the name of one Bay Area restaurant you think should be on Parkday and why.
