Job description

Aircraft Completions Supervisor in GAC St. Louis
Unique Skills:
Experience outfitting aircraft interirors and experience with aircraft operational systems, flight ops and flights.
The compensation range for this role is $45.78 - $60.09 per hour.
Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to: minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location.

Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years of related technical experience.
Position Purpose:
The Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the work of a team. Span of control targeted at 10-15 individuals. The Supervisor will ensure that day-to-day Compls shop tasks are completed effectively and efficiently. They will handle scheduling, training, and immediate problem solving. Plans and schedules workloads, ensuring manpower and material come together supporting workflow targets. Complies with all duties and responsibilities set forth in the repair station inspection manual and the standard operating procedures manual. Accountable for maintaining the engagement of the team by establishing environment of collaboration, creating a culture of development where employees are supported in seeking growth opportunities, and guiding team to high quality performance.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
  1. Ensure accurate and meaningful communication flow between leadership and team to ensure alignment .
  2. Conduct regular contribution and development discussions (end-of-year discussions and 1:1) and supports development investment for all team members .
  3. Establish and cascade departmental goals to ensure alignment with organizational goals .
  4. Delivery timely Progressive Counseling when necessary to maintain safety, compliance, & appropriate behavior amongst team .
  5. Ensures all department work is completed in an efficient and timely manner that prioritizes requirements for safety and quality at the highest level .
  6. Assigns production responsibilities, work plans and schedule requirements to teams to ensure that all jobs are completed in a matter that satisfies FAA regulations .
  7. Ensures that department personnel are qualified and trained to perform work assignments .
  8. Maintains a safe work environment; ensures that stringent housekeeping, 5S standards and safety procedures and practices are followed; ensures that tools/equipment meet safety requirements; leads trend and root cause analysis and accident investigations .
  9. Ensures all required. paperwork and documentation, such as, ADTS, CDMS, CMP cards, and R&I log, and Corridor are accomplished .
  10. Coordinates with engineering, finance, materials, quality and other departments to ensure that schedules and budgets are met and problems are resolved .
  11. Assists in troubleshooting to solve production process problems with processes and equipment already in operation while minimizing costs and preventing delivery delays .
  12. Promotes, encourages, and leads employees towards a continuous improvement culture. Leads the implementation of Lean Six Sigma initiatives .
  13. Responsible for timekeeping for direct reports .

Additional Functions:
  1. Models and reinforces safety and quality as the priority .
  2. Make pay planning recommendations .
  3. Hires and on boards new team members .
  4. Ensures that aircraft interiors are protected (PTP) .
  5. Leads efforts to continuously improve existing processes and procedures using Lean Manufacturing tools .
  6. In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required. .
  7. By own example, sets standards for professionalism, communication, team building and recognition of team members .
  8. Establishes process controls to ensure a FOD free environment .
  9. Actively promotes healthy workforce through the utilization of the Corporate Ergonomist and EHS resources .
  10. Actively supports corporate initiative in resource sustainability .
  11. Ensures department emergency action plans support the business units Business Continuity Plan and can be executed in a timely and effective manner .
  12. This position does not perform safety sensitive activities .

  1. Must be able to work overtime, weekends and shifts when required. to meet business need.
