Volunteer in your community and we will pay for that too.

Imagine Communications is seeking a Competitive Intelligence & Data Analyst to join the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) group at our Plano, Texas office. This role is responsible for building and maintaining Imagine's competitive pricing intelligence program across all product lines, including both Video infrastructure products and AdTech platforms. The analyst will work closely with PLM managers, Product Marketing, Sales, and Finance to deliver the data-driven research and financial analysis that inform pricing strategy, product positioning, and commercial decision-making.

In addition to competitive and market research, the analyst will serve as the primary owner of Imagine's Anthropic Claude Enterprise AI environment — configuring the platform, maintaining the supporting knowledge base, and developing AI-assisted research workflows for the PLM organization. The role also includes a significant reporting and data analytics component, with responsibilities spanning Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Oracle Fusion, and the company's Snowflake data lake.

This position spans both the Video and AdTech sides of the Imagine portfolio and is designed for an analytically strong, intellectually curious professional who is comfortable working across product lines, functional teams, and data systems.

Key Responsibilities:Competitive Intelligence & Market Research
  • Own and continuously maintain Imagine's competitive pricing intelligence program across Video (SNP, Magellan, Versio) and AdTech (Landmark, OSI-X, xGL) product lines, supporting all PLM managers across the portfolio.
  • Conduct structured primary-source research using government procurement databases, FOIA/public-records requests, reseller channel surveys, trade publications, and direct competitive analysis.
  • Maintain a living competitor pricing register tracking SKUs, list prices, contract/street prices, confidence ratings, and source documentation for all primary competitors.
  • Produce quarterly Competitive Intelligence Executive Briefings and deal-specific battle cards for sales leadership, product management, and finance.
  • Monitor win/loss data in Salesforce; identify pricing and discount trends and surface actionable findings with recommendations.
  • Partner with the Care team to provide ongoing support SLA analysis, including Care contract attach rates, renewal performance, support tier mix, and competitive benchmarking of SLA pricing and terms across all product lines.
  • Own and maintain market sizing reports for all Imagine product lines, tracking total addressable market (TAM), serviceable addressable market (SAM), and competitive share data by region, segment, and product category. Manage ongoing relationships with partner market research firms — including IDC, Devoncroft, and Caretta Research — to source, interpret, and integrate third-party market data into PLM reporting and strategic planning.
AI Platform Management — Claude Enterprise
  • Configure, launch, and maintain Imagine's Anthropic Claude Enterprise environment for PLM and Marketing.
  • Design and manage the Claude knowledge base, including financial files, pricing registers, product documentation, and source-document libraries.
  • Establish data governance practices — version control, access permissions, confidence-tier tagging, and audit protocols — for all AI-accessible documents.
  • Train colleagues on effective use of the Claude platform and maintain quality controls on AI-generated research outputs.
  • Act as internal subject-matter expert for Claude Enterprise; coordinate with Anthropic support and IT on platform integrations and updates.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
  • Build and maintain Power BI and Tableau dashboards covering competitive pricing, pipeline ASP trends, Care ARR performance, and product margin analysis across all Imagine product lines.
  • Develop financial models for pricing sensitivity analysis, discount authority impact, gross margin scenarios, and competitive TCO comparisons for both Video and AdTech products.
  • Produce monthly financial intelligence summaries for the CRO and VP of PLM, integrating pipeline data, competitive pricing intelligence, and market estimates across the full product portfolio.
  • Own product pricing and margin analysis for the PLM team, maintaining pricing models, tracking list-to-street discount trends, and supporting deal desk validation across all products.
  • Support the Oracle Fusion ERP instance by building and maintaining key PLM financial reports, pricing workflows, and margin tracking outputs.
  • Extract, analyze, and visualize data from Imagine's Snowflake data lake using BI and AI toolsets; build PLM-facing reports that surface actionable product, pricing, and market intelligence.
  • Maintain discount authority matrices and commercial model documentation across all product lines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with PLM, Product Marketing, Sales Leadership, Finance / FP&A, and Care / Customer Success teams.
  • Contribute competitive pricing data and market positioning analysis to RFP/RFI responses.
  • Support product management in roadmap prioritization by quantifying market gaps, competitive deficits, and pricing headroom by product and segment.
  • Collaborate with the Care team on SLA competitive benchmarking and contract structure analysis.

  • MBA from an accredited program required. Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a quantitative field strongly preferred.
  • 1–5 years of post-undergraduate professional experience. Recent MBA graduates with 0–2 years of post-MBA experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated financial modeling skills in Microsoft Excel: DCF analysis, TCO modeling, margin analysis, pricing sensitivity tables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and strong working knowledge of Excel required. Experience with Tableau is expected.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce executive-level briefings, financial summaries, and competitive analyses with minimal direction.
  • Ability to evaluate AI-generated content critically, identify inaccuracies, and maintain source-verification standards.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple functional teams in a matrixed organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA concentration in Finance, Strategy, or Marketing Analytics.
  • Experience in broadcast technology, media infrastructure, AdTech, SaaS, or B2B enterprise software.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP — report building, financial module navigation, or PLM-related workflows.
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses; SQL proficiency is a meaningful differentiator.
  • Prior use of Anthropic Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or other enterprise AI platforms in a professional context.

  • Familiarity with government procurement databases (SAM.gov, USASpending) or FOIA request processes.
  • Familiarity with product market sizing methodologies — TAM/SAM/SOM frameworks, bottom-up and top-down approaches, and interpreting third-party market research reports. Direct prior experience with specific research vendors such as IDC, Devoncroft, or Caretta Research is not required.
  • Knowledge of digital advertising technology, ad server platforms, or OTT/streaming monetization is advantageous for the AdTech product scope.
  • Experience with competitive intelligence methodologies or structured market research in a B2B technology context.
Technical Skills:
  • Required: Microsoft Excel (advanced), Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft 365 / SharePoint, PowerPoint.
  • Expected: Tableau, Salesforce CRM.
