We are seeking a Compensation Consultant (Part-Time) who will administer compensation programs with the objective of attracting and retaining top-quality talent and enhancing workforce productivity. This role partners with other members of the Total Rewards team to implement, communicate, and audit new and existing programs, and serves as a key contact within the Total Rewards team for compensation-related questions.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Administers broad-based compensation programs for all employees; interprets compensation program provisions and requirements; resolves administration/policy issues and questions; and coordinates activities with vendors/internal business partners as needed.
  • Advises leaders, HR partners, and/or other internal stakeholders on interpretation of program provisions. Serves as liaison with internal clients and external vendors on employee compensation topics or associate issues.
  • Responds to work requests and questions submitted through Workday and Total Rewards mailbox. Updates request ticketing system (Service Now) as items are addressed.
  • Conducts job analysis, evaluation and market pricing reviews as needed to determine and recommend appropriate compensation levels.
  • Assists with development, implementation, and maintenance of variable compensation plans.
  • Actively compiles reports and data from raw form into actionable presentations. Takes raw data outputs from multiple sources into calculation process and then payment.
  • Administers the company's rewards & recognition tool (ChenMed Cheers), approving award requests, creating/maintaining reward badges, and issuing points to leaders as needed. Reconciles invoices and submits to Accounts Payable. Partners with Total Rewards leadership in communication with vendor.
  • Completes periodic vendor market surveys and analyzes survey results for programmatic implications and recommendations.
  • Maintains the data integrity of online market pricing tool (PayFactors), including bi-annual updates to survey aging factors and auditing of survey results loaded into the tool.
  • Participates in the annual incentive and award process including preparing communication materials, hosting training and office hour sessions, auditing of data pre- and post-process, and responding to questions during process.
  • Partners with HRIS, Payroll and other HR COEs to ensure accuracy of team member data and functionality of electronic data interfaces with vendors.
  • Manages special projects as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Advanced-level business acumen and acuity
  • Solid knowledge relating to all facets of employee compensation program development and design
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of state, local and federal requirements in the total rewards arena
  • Ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets, and analyze data and make appropriate recommendations based on the analysis
  • Self-starting with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, startup type environment with a high sense of urgency
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to interface with all levels of the organization (including vendor partners)
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and presentation software
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide up to 10% of the time
  • Spoken and written fluency in English
  • This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:
  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration or a related discipline OR additional experience above the minimum will be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis required
  • A minimum of 3 years' related work experience in employee compensation design and administration required
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar certification a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in compensation analysis and experience in administering compensation programs required
  • Annual incentive plan experience preferred
  • Workday and PayFactors experience desired

This position is part-time. The salary range reflected in this posting represents the full-time equivalent (FTE) compensation for this role. Actual compensation will be prorated based on the number of hours worked and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
PAY RANGE:
$70,396 - $100,565 Salary
The posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for this position. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a bonuses or commissions.
