Position Summary:
The Compensation and Benefits Administrator provides administrative and operational support for the organization's compensation and benefits programs. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate administration of compensation and benefits processes, maintaining employee benefit records, supporting compliance efforts, and delivering excellent customer service to employees and internal stakeholders. This position will work closely with various internal departments and outside vendors to ensure programs are administered efficiently and effectively.

  • New hire and open enrollment on time completion rate
  • Benefit bills accurate and submitted to accounting on time
  • 100% of annual pay statements are accurately produced and distributed within established timeline
  • Responds to inquiries within 24 hours of receipt

Responsibilities: (identify functions or the role and expected outcomes)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Compensation
  • Review new or revised job descriptions for completeness and consistency to prepare them for market compensation mapping and grading.
  • Maintain job description library, ensuring that each Taco North American position has an updated job description on file and reviewed within the last 18 months with properly assigned market compensation
  • Prepares reports and materials necessary to meet company reporting requirements for accruals, audits, and tax credits
  • Maintain compensation data within the Human Capital Management system (HCM) and ensure data accuracy.
  • Assist with compliance related to federal, state, and local pay regulations, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Equal Pay laws, and pay transparency requirements.
  • Maintain compensation procedures, documentation, and training materials.
  • Prepare and distribute documentation related to compensation events such as Annual Pay Review, pay grade changes and bonus programs.
  • Partner with HR Operations team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of compensation changes.
  • Maintain compensation documentation for employment records.
  • Complete unemployment and employment verification requests.

Benefits
  • Coordinate the day-to-day administration of employee benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans and voluntary benefits.
  • Communicate the design and functionality of the company's employee benefits program to new hires and existing employees.
  • Lead annual open enrollment activities including employee communication / training, issue resolution and data accuracy.
  • Process employee benefit enrollments, changes and terminations while ensuring accuracy in both HCM and vendor systems.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, compensation, and HR policies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate collection of information needed for regulatory reporting and supports compliance with COBRA, HIPAA and ERISA provisions.
  • Distribute benefit documents and communications as required by law including but not limited to Summary Plan Descriptions, Summary of Benefits and Coverage, Benefit Termination Letters, 401(k) plan documents, etc.
  • Review and audit billings for accuracy, enters accounting codes, and submits for payment; resolves discrepancies with carriers, payroll, and the company.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience with benefits administration with a diverse workforce
  • 1-2 years' experience in compensation, finance, payroll or HR Analytics; Workday experience a plus
  • Professional in Human Resources or related certification preferred
  • Experience working with an HCM system to manage employee data
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to diverse levels of employees
  • Must be able to execute multiple assignments at the same time and quickly adapt to priority changes
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

Work Environment
This position works primarily in an office environment using computers and technology. Verbal and auditory capability are required. Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.
Hybrid - This position may work from home up to 2X/week if performance is in good standing.
This position has no direct reports.
