Job description

About the Role:
Solar Lights and More is looking for a skilled and motivated Solar Technician to join our growing team in Ocala, FL! This is an exciting opportunity to work on the cutting edge of renewable energy, helping customers harness the power of the sun. If you're passionate about solar technology and enjoy hands-on work, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  • Install, inspect, and maintain residential and commercial solar panel systems
  • Perform system diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
  • Conduct site assessments and prepare rooftops or ground mounts for solar installation
  • Communicate professionally with customers and provide basic system operation guidance
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in solar installation, electrical work, or a related trade (Ex. roofing, plumbing, irrigation, construction)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work at heights, on rooftops, and in varying outdoor conditions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Must provide general tools for your own usage (including but not limited to a power drill & reciprocating saw, tape measure, etc.)
  • Must be in good physical condition & be able to lift/hold 65lbs+
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
Role:
  • Full Time (Monday - Friday), Occasional Saturday scheduling in the event of severe weather
  • 6:00AM - 2:00PM (Approx.)
  • Competitive pay based on experience
