Job description

Certified Nurse Midwife - Community Hospital Westfield

We are seeking Certified Nurse Midwifes to join one of the nation's most integrated healthcare systems, with over 1,300 providers in Indianapolis, IN.

Community Health Network is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife, to join our OB ED team at Community Hospital Westfield located in Westfield, IN.

  • 24-hour shifts

  • Rotating weekend and holiday requirements

  • Evaluation and management of pregnant patients > 16 weeks gestation seeking urgent/emergent obstetrical care

  • Evaluation and management of postpartum patients up to 6 weeks postpartum

  • Ability to independently and rapidly identify and manage emergent obstetrical and postpartum issues based on current evidence-based practice

  • Advance labor with AROM

  • Rounding on postpartum patients and facilitating discharges

  • Rounding on laboring patients at request of the attending

  • Stand-by for precipitous vaginal deliveries

  • Single, robust electronic medical record system (EPIC)

Expertise within the specialty of OB as a certified nurse-midwife is required. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience practicing as a certified nurse-midwife.
