Job Description:

The Environmental Services position maintains a clean, sanitary, and organized environment. They ensure facilities are well-stocked, organized, and sanitary. When not cleaning, the employee will be assisting with the daily residential assistant duties.

Essential Functions:

Maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products; ensure safe and sanitary storage and care of products

  • Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of floors
  • In charge treatments such as stain-removal as needed
  • Dispose of trash from bins and containers
  • Dust and polish furniture and room accessories as needed
  • Scrub sinks and toilets in bathrooms
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and counters as needed
  • Keeps all public spaces neat and tidy
  • Sanitize all doorknobs, counters, and hard surfaces
  • Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered
  • Keeps inventory of needed supplies
  • Completes all facility laundry
  • Conduct and document safety checks
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to follow verbal directions

Work Environment:

Office and healthcare setting with clients and other employees present.

  • Working indoors primarily and outdoors occasionally
  • May walk on slippery and uneven walking surfaces
  • Excessive continuous noise at times
  • Typical office and outside atmosphere
  • Indoor and outdoor, using some cleaning supplies and tools

Physical Demands:

  • Physically able to push up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with the ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to go up and down stairs multiple times per day

Travel Required:

  • Ability to travel to various offices or facility locations
