A community health educator is a public health professional who specializes in providing education services for people in a given community. In community health educator jobs, your responsibilities include examining public health challenges and current policies, advocating for improved policies, and developing programs to help educate the public about important health issues. You also train other community health workers on how to best address these issues. While you may have an office in a public health organization, much of your work will be done out in the community. You need a bachelor’s degree in a public health related field to pursue this career.
