Job description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Part-Time Community Education Coordinator to create public awareness of child abuse and neglect, and prevention strategies. This position is 25hours per week and can be based out of either our Lewiston or South Paris Office, with occasional travel throughout our service area.

  • Starting Pay Range: $21.50-23.00/hour depending on education and experience

Essential Duties:

  • Bringing together community Stakeholders and project partners, building public awareness, and work to enhance community supports, trainings, and opportunities for clients
  • Lead and implement prevention programs and strategies, including conducting trainings in various curriculums
  • Ensure proper data collection and reporting is completed
  • Assist in document referrals, community inquiries, and parenting requests

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or other Health-related degree

Other Requirements: Successful candidates must possess excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to function autonomously and as part of a community team; fluency in multiple languages would be a plus. Pre-employment physical, SBI, DMV, Maine Sex Offender Registry, DHHS fingerprinting, fraud, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment; valid driver’s license and travel within the service area is required.
