Position Overview

As a Warehouse Attendant, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory. You will handle various warehouse operations, including receiving, checking, storing, counting, and distributing stock items according to established procedures. Our Warehouse Attendants are vital members of the team who help deliver great-tasting Community Coffee to our loyal customers every day.


Key Responsibilities

  • Read load reservations and order requests to determine stock to be pulled.
  • Load and unload items from trucks, conveyors, and other equipment.
  • Transport products between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
  • Assemble customer and sales orders from on-hand inventory.
  • Audit picked orders for accuracy and report discrepancies.
  • Stack and arrange products on pallets.
  • Assist internal teams in loading sales trucks.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts (weekly/monthly) across warehouse and company vehicles.
  • Move and reallocate inventory within the warehouse as needed.
  • Rotate stock using Julian dates or FIFO (First In, First Out) methodology.
  • Verify incoming product against receiving documents (UPC, quantity, and condition).
  • Report receiving discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Operate company vehicle to pick up and deliver inventory from outside vendors (as required).
  • Maintain lawn and landscaping around the warehouse (as required).
  • Perform equipment inspections (forklift, pallet jack) before shifts if required.
  • Replenish stock while keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
  • Perform minor equipment cleaning and repairs as needed.
  • Operate forklifts and manual/electric pallet jacks (as required).
  • Maintain warehouse organization in line with WMS picking/put-away strategies.
  • Execute daily receiving and shipping tasks per published load schedules.
  • Use handheld WMS devices and computers for inventory tracking and movement.
  • May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Passing score on aptitude test required in lieu of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of related experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license or government-issued ID.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and manuals.
  • Competency in using forklifts, hoists, and hand/power tools.
  • Understanding of mechanical and industrial terminology.
  • Knowledge of CFR 110, good manufacturing practices, and AIB food safety standards.
  • Experience with SAP or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical.
  • Internal Only: Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources.

  • Field Sales Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be moderately loud in warehouse areas.
