Position Overview
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and maintaining brewing and serving equipment in a workshop setting. You play a critical role in ensuring our customers enjoy quality coffee products by keeping equipment clean, functional, and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and schedule repairs of brewing equipment to meet operational demands
  • Inspect used parts to assess wear and dimensional changes
  • Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to diagnose issues
  • Dismantle equipment to access and remove defective components
  • Examine parts for defects, such as changes in form or texture
  • Adjust and calibrate functional components and control instruments
  • Repair or replace faulty parts, install new structural or functional components
  • Lubricate and clean mechanical parts to ensure smooth operation
  • Conduct performance tests to verify repairs and ensure equipment functionality
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory of all repair parts
  • May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.

Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • A passing score on an aptitude test may be accepted in lieu of a diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical or small appliance repair; HVAC experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing fundamentals
  • Valid driver's license or government-issued ID
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical
  • Internal Only: Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources.

  • Field Sales Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may be moderately loud in warehouse areas.
