To thrive as a Communications Manager (Remote), you need expertise in strategic communication, content development, and brand messaging, typically supported by a degree in communications, marketing, or a related field. Familiarity with digital marketing tools, content management systems (CMS), and analytics platforms is often required. Internal Communications Manager

Axonius

Remote

Full-time

Posted 8 days ago

Job description

As Internal Communications Manager, you will be the operational backbone of a reimagined internal communications function. You will partner directly with the Head of Global Communications to design, launch, and run the programs that keep every Axonius employee aligned, informed, and energized. You will own execution across our entire internal communications operating model: the strategic programs that connect employees to company direction, the day-to-day channels that carry the drumbeat of company life, and the leadership and manager enablement that makes information cascade reliably. You will not inherit a machine. You will build one. The right person sees that as the appeal. You will be joining a team that uses AI as standard tooling. The expectation is that you use AI tools to move faster and produce more, and that your judgment is what makes that output high-quality.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Alignment: Produce the Monthly All-Hands end-to-end including the run of show, production, Q&A, measurement, and follow-up communications.
  • Strategic Alignment: Rebuild the company intranet hub as the single source of truth for employee resources and information.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Audit and manage company-wide Slack channels including setting norms, curating content, and keeping signal high and noise low.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Establish company newsletters and enforce the editorial standards, cadence, and governance that keep the internal communications function consistent and trusted.
  • Leadership Enablement: Manage the senior leader forum and manager forum including the agendas, content, executive prep, and Q&A.
  • Leadership Enablement: Equip senior leaders and managers with consistent communications they can cascade to their teams.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of professional communications experience.
  • Proven track record of building or scaling internal communications programs from the ground up rather than maintaining existing ones.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the range to draft in an executive's voice and to write clearly for employees.
  • Strong program and project management instincts; you can run multiple recurring programs without dropping the ball.
  • Comfort operating with autonomy and ambiguity; you make a plan, build the thing, and iterate rather than waiting for direction.
  • Executive presence and judgment; you can partner credibly with the leadership team including the CEO.
  • Active, fluent use of AI tools such as Anthropic Claude. This is a baseline. Not a differentiator.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional communications experience within a high-growth B2B technology or cybersecurity environment.
  • Willingness to be creative and experiment with new methods of communicating to employees.
  • Familiarity with internal communications measurement; you will partner with the Head of Global Communications to develop KPIs for the internal communications function.
  • Fluency with modern internal communications tooling including Slack, Slido, Zoom, and newsletter/intranet platforms (e.g., Confluence).
