Job description

Director, Communications & Engagement
Location: Long Island City, NY preferred; other locations will be considered for internal candidates.
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Director, Communications & Engagement leads enterprise internal communications and company engagement planning and execution. This role partners closely with business and HR leaders to construct impactful communications and engagement initiatives that ensure employees understand priorities, navigate change, and remain aligned. The Director serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, leads a Manager, Communications & Engagement, and is accountable for creating a clear, consistent, and disciplined communications and engagement system across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and own enterprise internal communications strategy and narrative
• Lead HQ company engagement planning and execution, including signature events, forums, and culture initiatives
• Partner with business and HR leaders to construct impactful, integrated communications and engagement initiatives
• Advise executives and develop key messaging, scripts, and presentations
• Lead change communications for major initiatives
• Plan and execute town halls and enterprise communication forums
• Lead engagement survey and follow-through actions
• Create and deliver communication content across channels
• Establish communication discipline, governance, and priorities
• Lead, coach, and develop a Manager, Communications & Engagement
Qualifications
• 10+ years in internal communications or corporate communications
• Proven experience in executive communications and transformation
• Experience leading employee engagement planning and execution
• People-leadership experience, including managing and developing direct reports
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills
• Ability to operate independently with strong influence and judgment
• High attention to detail and professionalism
The estimated salary range for this position is $185,000- $215,000.

The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained.
