Job description

We are hiring for a Construction Inspector to join our team on a full-time, direct basis in the Princeton, NJ area. This is a full-time, field-based position that will support ongoing and upcoming construction projects by providing quality assurance and documentation throughout all phases of construction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Engineer's on-site representative and liaison to the contractor.
  • Observe all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Verify field measurements and quantities, document daily quantities, materials, and resource usage.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed daily inspection reports, including notes on progress, issues, non-conformance, and weather conditions.
  • Record and report field data daily.
  • Identify and communicate construction issues to the project engineer and/or manager.
  • Use ACC Build or similar platforms for digital field documentation.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.

Basic Requirement:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to project sites.
  • Ability to work in a full-time, field-based role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate or degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Prior experience with AutoCAD, iOS-based construction apps, or ACC Build is advantageous.
  • 0-3 years of relevant construction observation or inspection experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in the field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

TARGET SALARY RANGE: $55K - $70k (per year)
