Superintendent – Lead Major Commercial, Industrial, and Federal Site Operations


Job Overview

The Opportunity

You will take command of field operations as the lead leader on-site, guiding major commercial and specialized builds from preconstruction through to final close-out. This vital role gives you the autonomy to orchestrate complex schedules, direct diverse crews, and implement strict safety planning on high-stakes projects. You will have a direct impact on project profitability, field efficiency, and the development of your field team.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Lead the entire project field team and oversee daily site operations to guarantee safe, cost-effective, and timely completion.
  • Assist in developing project staffing, communication frameworks, site logistics plans, and quality control strategies.
  • Drive weekly Lean Construction management sessions and lead all site-based subcontractor coordination meetings.
  • Create and update comprehensive project schedules, including detailed monthly updates, narratives, and multi-week look-ahead plans.
  • Manage all project field labor, coordinate self-perform work, and review monthly labor and cost reports with the Project Manager.
  • Direct the building systems owner-training and manage the comprehensive project close-out and warranty processes.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience supervising new or renovation-type commercial construction projects valued at $5M or above.
  • High school diploma or GED combined with extensive, demonstrated field leadership experience.
  • Current 30-hour OSHA construction safety certification completed within the last 3 years along with First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Full working knowledge of commercial construction principles, building codes, and complex MEP+FP building systems.
  • Strong proficiency using digital project tools including MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong background negotiating contracts, managing self-perform work, and directing sub-contractor activities.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
  • Proven experience on federal, industrial, research lab, or science and technology building projects.
  • 24-hour Fall Protection, and 8-hour Scaffolding Competent Person training.
  • ACI Concrete Transportation Inspector Certificate
