As a Commodities & Logistics (C&L) Analyst you will be responsible for relationship management and credit support functions of the Commodities & Logistics corporate loan portfolio, including but not limited to the underwriting of new loan opportunities, regular client contact, and ongoing credit analysis You will also work with the C&L Team Leader to support business development efforts by identifying new prospects, engaging in Corporate Advisory research and analysis, and other ad-hoc initiatives as they arise. As a C&L Analyst, you will be expected to advance your knowledge of the suite of BBH Capital Partners products and services, including wealth management, corporate advisory, private equity and corporate lending, and to be able to communicate the Firm's value proposition to clients, prospects and intermediaries.
Key responsibilities include:
Relationship Management
  • Hold secondary account responsibility for existing clients
  • Provide day-to-day support for client relationship maintenance, new business development and various administrative activities.
  • Support C&L Team Leaders and other professionals on client/prospect visits and in internal meetings, prepare meeting summaries and ensure follow up tasks are completed in a timely fashion
  • Assist in the marketing of BBH products and services including the development of marketing materials and tracking of prospects.

Credit Support
  • Provide credit analysis for periodic written and oral presentations at credit meetings with C&L Team Leaders, senior Capital Partners and Commodities & Logistics personnel and Partners
  • Provide due diligence for new and existing credit relationships
  • Prepare executive summaries of incoming new business opportunities
  • Prepare financial models of company results and forecasts
  • Monitor internal credit files/databases to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and timely credit reviews
  • Prepare credit department reports
  • Prepare internal financial analysis, conduct industry research and write white papers as required

Business Development
  • Support the business development efforts of Commodities & Logistics
  • Begin to develop a network with Associate level attorneys and manager level accountants and consultants
  • Attend regularly scheduled industry networking events
  • Assist in "uptiering" existing Commodities & Logistics lending relationships to broader Capital Partners mandates

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience, credit or lending experience a plus
  • BS/BA degree with competitive GPA from a highly selective university
  • Strong organizational and written/oral communication skills
  • Interpersonal maturity, confidence, and poise
  • Strong financial analysis/modeling and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Basic accounting knowledge

Salary Range
NY: $90,000 - $100,000 base salary + annual bonus target
