About the Role As a fast-growing logistics company, we are seeking a perceptive individual to support our 24/7 logistics operations during evenings and Saturday (Wednesday-Friday, 10AM-8:30PM and Saturday, 8AM-4:30PM). This role focuses on load building, tracking and tracing Contractors, Third-Party Logistics providers (3PLs), Brokers, and company drivers to ensure seamless freight movement and timely resolutions. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, be a passionate problem solver, and prioritize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, even in off-peak hours. This position offers the opportunity to optimize after-hours systems, handle urgent escalations, and expand the company's domestic and international reach. Objectives and Responsibilities * Monitor and track regional shipments involving Contractors, 3PLs, Brokers, and company drivers to maintain on-time performance for client orders * Ensure accuracy of tracking data, shipping documents, and real-time status updates in logistics software * Identify and resolve after-hours shipping discrepancies, delays, or emergencies to uphold client satisfaction * Process incoming alerts, update inventory databases, and coordinate with warehouses for night-time inventory & shipment adjustments * Oversee overnight production timelines, adjust shipping schedules as needed, and escalate issues to daytime teams * Generate reports on freight status, prepare after-action reviews, and assist with billing/invoicing for completed loads * Maintain regular communications with clients, drivers, and partners, including international stakeholders across time zones Preferred Skills and Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, or demonstrated transportation industry experience providing comparable knowledge and skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage timelines, stay organized, and communicate effectively in high-pressure, low-supervision environments * Proven critical thinking and lateral problem-solving skills for handling complex, time-sensitive situations * Solid understanding of warehouse operations, transportation management, and freight tracking technologies * Solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative attitude, adaptable to independent night/weekend work * Familiarity with supply chain best practices, agricultural commodities, and tools like TMS (Transportation Management Systems) or ERP software * Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and implement efficiencies in logistics processes * 2+ years of experience in the logistics market, preferably with exposure to night shifts or 24/7 operations Best in Show Logistics Offers * Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits with eligibility on date of hire * 401(K) (traditional and Roth options) with generous company match * 3 Weeks Paid Time Off in first year * Company Paid Short Term and Long-Term Disability * Company Paid Life Insurance * Competitive Compensation, including shift differentials for nights and weekends * On Staff Life Coach * Medical and Dependent Care Reimbursement Plans Best in Show Logistics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
