Job description

This position is located in Region Six, Response Division The ideal candidate for this position will have emergency management experience in logistical all hazards planning & preparedness, operational readiness and supply chain utilization. The incumbent will also have experience coordinating life-sustaining federal commodities, managing regional staging areas, and directing staff under high-pressure conditions.Qualifications:The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
  1. Planning, developing and managing a variety of logistical functions in support of emergency management mission requirements. (e.g. preparedness, readiness, response, and recovery), AND
  2. Utilizing the resources of Federal logistics partners, key stakeholders, tribal and nongovernmental organizations to meet the needs of disaster survivors.
