Job description

Founded in 1992, Fleet Street Wine Merchants (FSWM) is a premier wine importer and distributor serving New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. FSWM opened its California market in June 2025 and has quickly emerged as one of the fastest-growing companies of its kind in the state.
The Opportunity
FSWM is seeking an experienced salesperson to take over the Northern California market. This person will inherit a territory currently consisting of exclusively high-quality on- and off-premise accounts, with total access to the broader Northern California market. When called upon, they will report to Fleet Street's VP of California Sales (based in LA) and Sales Director (based in NY).
Responsibilities
ALLService and build existing restaurant and retail accounts through regular visits and portfolio tastings
Generate leads, cold-call and cold-walk, maintain a prospect pipeline, and acquire new business
Meet revenue and new-account targets
Skills & Qualifications
Excellent presentation skills
Wine fluency across European and American categories (see fleetstreetwine.com/producers)
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
5+ years of experience in wholesale wine distribution sales
Compensation
$38,000โ€“$75,000 guaranteed base (commensurate with experience), plus 5% commission for the first 6โ€“12 months
After 6โ€“12 months: 7.5% commission-only (with draw), plus a bonus based on company profitability
Travel and dining expenses paid (budget to be determined)
