Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Jose, CA that is seeking a Package Consultant Salesforce.
Duties:
* Configure and develop Salesforce solutions supporting enterprise automation, agent-assisted work, and reusable Agentforce capabilities
* Build Agentforce agents, topics, instructions, actions, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop escalation paths using deterministic-first design patterns
* Implement Salesforce automation and user experiences using Flow, Apex, Lightning Web Components, platform configuration, and approved extensibility patterns
* Develop and integrate agent actions through Agent API, Salesforce APIs, MuleSoft services, Platform Events, Pub/Sub API, Change Data Capture, and other approved integration patterns
* Support Data Cloud capabilities including data ingestion, identity and data-model alignment, retrievers and RAG, Zero Copy patterns with Snowflake, and activation of governed data for Agentforce use cases
* Support unstructured and PDF-based content ingestion, grounding, retrieval, and validation for agent use cases
* Contribute to Slack-based experiences, including Salesforce for Slack, agents or Slackbot interactions, and MCP-enabled patterns where required
* Translate functional designs, prototype outcomes, and evolving stories into maintainable Salesforce components and reusable implementation assets
* Participate in POCs and rapid iterations, including building working demonstrations before all requirements are fully defined
* Write unit tests, support integration and regression testing, resolve defects, and collaborate with quality engineering teams on automation and agent-evaluation coverage
* Use SFDX and source-driven delivery practices, follow package and branching standards, and support managed or unlocked package strategies where reusable deployment assets are required
* Participate in code reviews, design reviews, release planning, environment management, deployment, and production transition
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development or package-consulting experience in enterprise environments
* Demonstrated experience implementing Agentforce or comparable Salesforce agentic AI capabilities, including topics, instructions, actions, grounding, guardrails, and human escalation
* Strong hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flow, Salesforce data modeling, security and sharing, permission sets, and governor-limit-aware development
* Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise systems using REST or SOAP APIs, event-driven patterns, middleware, and asynchronous processing
* Working experience with Data Cloud concepts and implementation patterns, including data ingestion, retrieval, RAG, unstructured content, or activation for Agentforce
* Experience with SFDX, source control, CI/CD, automated testing, environment management, and Salesforce release processes
* Ability to work effectively in a POC-first environment with incomplete requirements and rapidly evolving designs
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with architects, analysts, testers, and business stakeholders across distributed teams
Preferred Qualifications:
* Salesforce Platform Developer, Data Cloud, AI Specialist, or related Salesforce certifications
* Experience integrating Salesforce with Coupa, Workday, procurement, accounts payable, expense, partner operations, or finance platforms
* Exposure to Data 360 or deeper Data Cloud engineering responsibilities and willingness to transition into data-focused work as program needs evolve
* Experience with Salesforce for Slack, Slack agents, MCP, Agent API, Platform Events, Pub/Sub API, or Change Data Capture
* Experience with Model Builder or Einstein Studio predictions, AI evaluation, process mining, or Agentforce Operations orchestration
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
