Are you passionate about the Medicare population, looking for a role in management with the ability to directly impact your own income potential? If so, we are looking for licensed agents, who are experienced, self-driven people leaders to join our team.

In thisfieldposition, you will; coach, mentor, educate, motivate and train a team of sales individuals. The Senior Manager, Medicare Sales, must be a strong people leader with a solid understanding of the market they serve, how to resolve operational problems and provide creative solutions to increase sales while following CMS guidelines. This role also involves cultivating, maintaining,and buildingrelationships with Humana's customers, both internal and external business partners, along with the communityweservethroughtelephonic, virtual, and face-to-face interactions with individuals and groups. Other responsibilities include developing marketing budgets, and looking for branding opportunities.

This role isfieldbased, and you will be out and about in the field in the Kentucky market working with your team and meeting members face to face. You must reside in the Louisville, Bowling Green or Owensboro KY area or be willing to relocate. Relocation allowance is available.

Required Qualifications

  • Must reside in the Louisville, Bowling Green or Owensboro KY area or be willing to relocate.

  • Active Health Insurance license.

  • 2+ years of Medicare sales or other related sales experience.

  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.

  • Experience leading a team of sales associates, training in successful sales techniques, educational presentation skills, utilizing technology tools as well as building relationships with communities and medical providers

  • Strong aptitude for technology with proficiency in MS Office products, various CRM platforms, and various iPhone app capabilities

  • Background as a strong leader, strong producer.

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to adapt and overcome when necessary.

  • Community Engagement/Grassroots experience in marketing Medicare plans in the community.

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

  • Valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance meeting at least 25/25/10 coverage limits (or higher, based on state requirements).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Life Insurance License.

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Strong background working in Medicare and the health solutions industry.

  • Engaged withthecommunitythroughservice, organizations, activities and volunteerism.

  • Project management background or certification a plus.

  • Bilingual with the ability to speak, read and write in an additional language without limitations or assistance.

Additional Information

Driving Statement:

This role is part of our company's driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and are expected to maintain personal vehicle liability insurance. State driver's license is subject to driver license validation and MVR review. Individuals must carry vehicle insurance in accordance with their residing state minimum required limits, or $25,000 bodily injury per person/$25,000 bodily injury per event /$10,000 for property damage or whichever is higher.

Language Proficiency Assessment:

Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.

Schedule:

Meeting with your team and going with them on periodic appointments and/or events, may require some evenings and weekends. Flexibility is essential to your success.

Training:

The first five weeks of employment and attendance are mandatory.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

This job is eligible for a commission incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
