6th Grade Standards cover Ancient World History, including the Stone Ages and the civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Israel, India, China, Greece, and Rome. 7th Grade Standard covers Medieval World History, including the fall of the Roman Empire, European Feudalism, Islamic Empires, Empires of West Africa, Imperial China, Imperial Japan, and civilizations of the Americas. The successful candidate will be passionate about educating a diverse student body within a whole scholar approach to teaching and learning.

Candidates must also exemplify a growth mindset, demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and maintain a positive, professional demeanor. Salary Information: Salary commensurate with experience; STRS; Full Benefits Duties and Responsibilities: This position reports to the Middle School principal and Executive Director. Duties include, but are not limited to: Plan, prepare, and deliver 6th and 7th History lessons as well as prepare teaching materials individually and collaboratively Help facilitate student participation in National History Day projects across the whole school, with some students choosing to compete against other schools Help organize and facilitate student participation in Walk Through the Ancient World, an in-school field trip experience, in conjunction with California Weekly.
