Job description

We are a professional staffing firm working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. We currently have a Commercial Loan Processor opportunity with a Regional Texas Bank.

This position is ideal for an experienced banking professional with direct commercial loan processing and documentation experience. The Commercial Loan Processor will partner closely with Commercial Lenders and internal banking teams to prepare, review, fund, book, and maintain commercial loan transactions while ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with bank policies and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare commercial loans for closing and funding.
  • Review loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with approved loan terms.
  • Book new and renewed loans into the bank's core system and verify loan information for accuracy.
  • File and maintain original notes and negotiable instruments.
  • Perfect and maintain collateral, including processing UCC filings, modifications, title binder extensions, and related documentation.
  • Process paid loans and coordinate collateral releases and supporting documentation.
  • Process incoming trailing documents and maintain accurate exception tracking.
  • Establish exception tracking for new loans and CIFs.
  • Process the daily ITRAK import and review imported data for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with lenders and internal teams to resolve documentation deficiencies and outstanding items.
  • Support commercial loan renewals, modifications, extensions, and other loan maintenance activities.
  • Set up and train new employees on the ITRAK system.
  • Maintain accurate loan files while managing multiple transactions and competing deadlines.


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct banking loan operations experience with hands-on commercial loan processing and documentation responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting commercial loans through documentation, closing, funding, booking, and/or post-closing activities.
  • Working knowledge of commercial loan documentation, collateral requirements, UCCs, title documentation, exception tracking, and loan funding.
  • Experience working directly with commercial lenders and other banking partners to resolve documentation and closing requirements.
  • Ability to review loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with bank policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple loan files and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.


Candidates whose experience is primarily residential mortgage processing, mortgage servicing, default servicing, foreclosure, loss mitigation, or consumer lending without direct commercial loan processing experience may not meet the requirements of this position.


Compensation & Benefits

Pay Rate Range: $44,000 - $66,000 annually


Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, as well as a 401(k) plan.
