Collections Attorneys and Debt Collectors both handle debt recovery, but Collections Attorneys are licensed lawyers who can pursue legal action, draft legal documents, and provide legal advice. Debt Collectors are typically non-lawyer professionals who focus on contacting debtors and negotiating payments. Collections Attorneys often work in law firms or legal departments, while Debt Collectors may work for collection agencies or financial institutions.
