Collections Advisor

Winterset Law Group – Powell, Ohio

Winterset Law Group is a growing law firm serving as Special Counsel to the Ohio Attorney General’s Collections Enforcement Section. Our firm focuses on post-judgment collections and helping individuals resolve outstanding state obligations through professional communication and structured payment arrangements.

We are seeking a Collections Advisor to join our team. This role involves communicating with individuals regarding outstanding obligations, discussing available resolution options, and helping establish voluntary payment plans.

This is a professional collections role within a law firm environment that emphasizes compliance, professionalism, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with individuals regarding outstanding state obligations

  • Discuss resolution options and establish payment arrangements

  • Maintain accurate records of communications and account activity

  • Follow firm procedures and applicable compliance requirements

  • Work collaboratively with attorneys and team members

  • Maintain a respectful and professional tone in all communications

  • Utilize phone, email, and other outreach methods to engage individuals

Qualifications

  • Collections, negotiation, call center, or customer service experience preferred

  • Strong communication and listening skills

  • Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally

  • Basic computer skills and ability to work within case management systems

  • Strong organization and documentation skills

  • High level of integrity and professionalism
