Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring an Opening Day Collection Manager to contribute to our Library Services (ILS) team in our La Vergne, TN office. 

In this role, you will manage all Opening Day Collections and/or other special projects, ensure a complete intake and understanding of their needs and timeline to create a positive customer experience and on-time delivery. You will be responsible for profile/ specification intake into ILS format, developing and managing ODC project plans, and facilitation of account setup as deemed appropriate. Other duties will include communicating the timeline and action plan to both internal and external customers and managing the effectiveness of the plan, recommending changes as necessary.  You’ll coordinate and communicate all discussions between ILS and a customer during the initial gathering phase. In addition, you will work closely with ILS Bids and Contracts, Sales, Technical Services, Operations, Transportation, and Collection Development to ensure project success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Library Science
  • 3 years’ experience in an operational, analytical role
  • 3 years leading process improvement, change management, integration projects, project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Project Management experience
  • Experience using MS Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing new Opening Day Collection projects and/or Special Projects (such as grant spending projects, renovations, etc.), completing account setup and/or communicating account setup needs to Technical Services, and ODC Order entry/reporting. 
  • Serves as the project manager working together with sales, systems, bids/contracts, technical services, collection development, transportation, and ILS operations to develop the project plan and timeline.
  • Manages customer meetings as needed to establish project milestones and set deadlines for internal departments and external customers throughout the life cycle of the project.  
  • Serves as primary contact between the customer and ILS coordinating cross-departmental efforts as needed, through project delivery. 
  • Identifies process improvement and service up-sale opportunities and makes recommendations to become more efficient with ODC project workflow.
  • Establishes, participates, and reports on projects in a regular status meeting with internal stakeholders and other management meetings as requested.

Hiring Salary Range: $65,224 - $82,466. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
