Job description

Based in Miami, FL, we are a diverse multi-practice commercial law firm known for its client-focused approach collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical results. The Collections and Foreclosure team is expanding and seeking an experienced Paralegal to join a growing team handling sophisticated collection and foreclosure matters. This role is ideal for a seasoned paralegal who values substantive legal work attention to detail and long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and generate a full range of foreclosure and collection pleadings including complaints liens notices of intent motions for summary judgment final judgments and notices of sale with accuracy and efficiency
  • Communicate professionally with delinquent owners via phone email and written correspondence while processing payments and preparing balance due letters payoff letters and estoppels in compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and applicable Florida statutes
  • Support bank actions and bankruptcy matters by drafting answers affirmative defenses notices of appearance proofs of claim exhibits and motions for case management conferences or rescheduled sales
  • Prepare hearing folders correspondence to judges notices of hearing and coordinate with team assistants on document preparation and workflow management


Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of paralegal or legal support experience in collections foreclosure or related litigation practice preferred
  • Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and Outlook with strong attention to detail analytical ability and deadline-driven work ethic
