Would you enjoy leading a growing healthcare program focused on donor recruitment, hospital partnerships, and community outreach?


LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Cord Blood Collections Manager in Gainesville, FL.


This position oversees cord blood collection operations, staff leadership, hospital relationships, and outreach initiatives supporting the LifeSouth Cellular Therapies program.


What You'll Do

  • Oversee cord blood collection operations, recruitment efforts, and collection site performance
  • Lead onboarding, training, scheduling, and development of collection staff
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physician offices, and community partners
  • Monitor collection goals, operational metrics, and program growth initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and documentation procedures
  • Identify operational concerns and implement process improvements and corrective actions as needed
  • Support donor recruitment efforts, outreach initiatives, presentations, and community events
  • Assist with audits, inspections, reporting, and quality improvement activities
  • Review operational reports, supply requests, inventory needs, and departmental documentation
  • Collaborate with internal leadership teams to support the success of the Cellular Therapies program
  • Represent LifeSouth and the Cord Blood Program in a professional and positive manner

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a business or healthcare-related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Three years of management or supervisory experience required
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with hospitals, physician offices, donors, and community partners
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and operational priorities effectively
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid driver's license required and must meet LifeSouth driver eligibility requirements
  • Previous sales, recruitment, outreach, and/or healthcare experience preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory, quality, and compliance standards preferred
