Job description

The Position

The Manager, Collateral Management position will join the central Global Treasury practice, focusing on insurance and reinsurance collateral management for group companies, and will assist with implementing process improvements that are compliant with group policies and controls, including increasing the scalability and automation of collateral management procedures. The role will require close coordination with internal customers and stakeholders. The role may operate independently on elements of complex projects and initiatives as well as part of the broader team.

This role would sit in either our Raleigh, NC office or our White Plains, NY office with two days in the office, three days remote. This role will also require quarterly travel.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support system enhancements and monitor project releases, including user training, regular reporting, and administration of an enterprise-wide system.
  • Implement best practice procedures to coordinate and integrate collateral management for maximum efficiency.
  • Collate and report metrics to demonstrate progress toward group goals.
  • Collaborate with Arch Investment Management to efficiently manage posted collateral, state deposit obligations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Support relationships with third party contacts (trustees, banks, state departments, reinsurers).
  • Perform functions relating to the organization, retention, and safeguarding of original documentation.
  • Maintain and organize records and company databases.
  • Provide support for collateral matters across functional teams and business units.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to responsibilities, priorities, and problem solving when managing time and resources.
  • Execute measures to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory mandates regarding trust collateral, letters of credit, and state deposits.
  • Assess, implement, and monitor controls for collateral management including SOX and auditor walkthroughs.
  • Identify and resolve issues relating to Insurance and Reinsurance Trust, Letter of Credit, and Surety Bond collateral.

Required Skills/Experience

  • 5-10 years collateral management or related experience.
  • Prior experience with collateral management practices, including trust account management, legal agreement reviews, investment, and standby letter of credit knowledge is beneficial.
  • Analytical, problem solving, and planning skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to take initiative, collaborate, and provide business support.
  • Ability to see the big picture and identify opportunities to increase efficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, utilized to effectively interface with and influence internal and external contacts.
  • Proficient with MS Office.

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Skills in various Treasury and/or Collateral management systems are a plus, including integration of automation tools.
  • Complete understanding of standby letters of credit as collateral instruments.
  • Experience in dashboard and leadership-level presentations.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in related fields.
  • Achieved or are working toward a professional qualification in treasury or broader finance field is highly desirable.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$95,700 - $129,141/year

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
