Job description

Cogent Technology Resource – Tucker / Metro Atlanta, GA
Full-Time | W-2 | Reports to VP of Sales

Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 per year, plus vehicle allowance or company vehicle depending on assigned account coverage

This is not a traditional sales role. We’re looking for someone who has worked in the field and is ready to step into a client-facing position.

Cogent Technology Resource is hiring an Associate Technical Account Manager to support our existing healthcare customers throughout Metro Atlanta. This is a growth role for someone with hands-on experience in healthcare technology, medical equipment, AV, low-voltage, installation, construction coordination, facilities, field service, or technical project support who wants to move into account management.

Cogent works with hospitals and healthcare systems on technology solutions that support clinical spaces, staff workflows, and patient engagement. Our work includes patient-facing technology, workstations, displays, mounting solutions, carts, technology infrastructure, and related solutions used in active hospital environments.

We are not simply selling products. We help healthcare customers plan, coordinate, and implement practical technology solutions in real hospital settings. Our Account Managers build trust, understand customer needs, guide expectations, coordinate solutions, and help make sure projects are handled professionally from first request through installation and follow-up.

About Cogent

Cogent Technology Resource supports hospitals and healthcare organizations with technology solutions that help improve clinical spaces, caregiver workflows, and the patient experience. We work in environments where details matter, communication matters, and customer confidence matters.

Our approach is built around making things easy for our customers. We call it “silver-platter” service. That means being responsive, organized, technically thoughtful, and willing to go the extra mile so our customers feel supported and confident in Cogent.

This role is ideal for someone who has been close to the work and is ready to grow into a customer-facing position with training, support, and mentorship.

What You’ll Do

As an Associate Technical Account Manager, you will support existing Cogent customers while learning how to manage healthcare accounts, prepare quotes, participate in walkthroughs, and coordinate customer needs with internal teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support and grow relationships with existing healthcare customers
  • Visit hospitals, customer offices, job sites, construction sites, and vendor partners
  • Meet with local Metro Atlanta customers approximately 2–3 days per week
  • Support occasional regional travel within roughly a five-hour drive when needed
  • Participate in site walks and customer meetings to understand project needs
  • Help identify technical requirements, field conditions, access concerns, installation needs, and possible obstacles
  • Assist with quotes, proposals, and project documentation
  • Learn Cogent’s products, services, installation process, and customer workflow
  • Work in Simpro to maintain customer notes, quotes, follow-up tasks, and project activity
  • Coordinate with Account Coordinators on installations, service requests, product demos, site walks, and follow-up
  • Work with installation supervisors, warehouse staff, vendors, project managers, and service technicians
  • Help translate customer needs into clear internal direction for the Cogent team
  • Help guide customer expectations before, during, and after projects
  • Follow up with customers to provide confidence and continuity
  • Support smaller customer requests and simpler account activity as you grow into the role
  • Represent Cogent professionally in active healthcare environments

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who understands field work, technical environments, or project coordination and wants to move into a more customer-facing role.

This could be a strong fit for someone coming from:

  • Healthcare technology installation
  • Medical equipment support
  • AV or low-voltage work
  • Field service
  • Installation coordination
  • Hospital facilities support
  • Construction coordination
  • Technical project support
  • Healthcare furniture, carts, mounts, displays, or workstation solutions
  • Customer service in a technical environment

Ideal qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical, field service, installation, project coordination, customer-facing, or account support role
  • Experience with healthcare, hospitals, medical equipment, AV, low-voltage, construction, facilities, furniture, displays, mounts, workstations, or technology solutions is strongly preferred
  • Comfortable walking a customer space and noticing technical details
  • Strong communication skills — this is the most important requirement
  • Strong customer service instincts
  • Good follow-up and organization
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and details at once
  • Comfortable visiting hospitals, construction environments, customer offices, and vendor locations
  • Friendly, professional, and calm under pressure
  • Practical problem-solving ability
  • Willingness to learn quoting, CRM documentation, customer follow-up, and account management
  • Comfortable using CRM or project management software; Simpro experience is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

This is a growth role. You do not need to already be a senior account manager. We are looking for someone with the right technical background, communication skills, work ethic, and desire to learn.

Compensation and Benefits

Cogent offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

  • $65,000 – $75,000 annual salary
  • Vehicle allowance or company vehicle depending on assigned account coverage
  • Mileage, fuel, tolls, parking, and business travel expense support as applicable
  • Periodic discretionary bonuses
  • Health insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Phone and laptop
  • Training
  • Expense reimbursement
  • Full-time W-2 employment

Travel and Location

This position is based out of our Tucker, Georgia office and primarily supports customers in the Metro Atlanta area. The Associate Technical Account Manager should expect to be on the road locally approximately 2–3 days per week. Occasional travel within the Southeast may be required, generally within a five-hour driving radius.

Why Join Cogent?

Cogent gives you the opportunity to work in a meaningful part of healthcare technology. Our customers are hospitals and healthcare teams who depend on reliable, well-planned technology in patient care environments.

The work you help coordinate may support patient engagement, clinical communication, staff workflow, technology access, and the overall experience inside healthcare facilities.

This is a role for someone who wants to move beyond the field without leaving the technical side of the work behind. You will learn how to support long-term customer relationships, solve practical problems, assist with quotes and project planning, and help deliver technology solutions that matter in real hospital settings.

If you are technically minded, customer-focused, organized, and ready to grow into a client-facing role, we would like to meet you.

Apply today to join Cogent Technology Resource as an Associate Technical Account Manager serving the Metro Atlanta healthcare market.
