Days/Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm
Job Summary
The Warehouse Lead works with the Warehouse Supervisor to lead the warehouse activities effectively and efficiently. The Lead may be responsible for filling orders and other general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies, and equipment. The Lead trains and coaches warehouse team members.
Job Responsibilities
  • Works in conjunction with the warehouse supervisor to execute the goals of the warehouse action plans daily.
  • Leads the daily activities of warehouse teammates to ensure the safe and successful completion of all related daily warehouse activities and operations.
  • Verifies and ensures all applicable warehouse processes are followed including but not limited to the processes for handling damaged product check-in, etc, while handling any specific areas of responsibility assigned by the warehouse supervisor.
  • Trains and leads warehouse personnel and evaluates processes striving for continuous improvement.
  • Communicates with warehouse management and warehouse personnel as it relates to identified process improvements, personnel improvements, quality, out of stocks, etc.
  • Operates industrial power equipment to restock and replenish product in the warehouse as needed.
  • Maintains orderly and clean work area in compliance with company, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory, safety and company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of work experience is required.
  • Background in warehouse and inventory control fundamentals.
  • Experience in a leadership role preferred.
  • Must have strong communication skills, be detailed, and organized.
  • Prior experience using forklift and powered rider pallet jack preferred. Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification upon hire is required.
  • Basic computer application and technology skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Speaking: Constantly (investigates, negotiates, recommends, reports, etc.)
  • Acute Vision: Constantly (observing both near and far, reading documents)
  • Typing: Frequently using electronic devices for day-to-day business (typing, creating reports, texting)
  • Mobility: Frequent travel throughout Heartland Facility (walking in warehouse)
  • Bending/Squatting: Constantly (picking up product, moving product)
  • Lifting: Frequent- Lift 50 lbs. or less (full cases of product)
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment where temperatures vary with the seasons.

Pay: $20.5 an hour
