Chesapeake Systems is looking for an Inside Sales - Technical support representative to join our Engineered Products Group and hit the ground running. This position requires correspondence with the sales team, customers, and manufacturers. The position requires extensive knowledge in core product lines and proficiency in making equipment selections. Someone who has great attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, people skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and wants to be a part of a great team!
Essential Functions
  • Develop a general working knowledge of Chesapeake systems and the products, services and solutions that we represent.
  • Learn and use factory selection software to select prices and provide the best equipment selection for each application based on the customers' request and bid documents (narratives, plans, and specifications)
  • Assist outside sales team with generation of technical submittal documents. This includes reviewing job drawings, specifications, and equipment selections in order to provide technical submittal documents for review and approval prior to release of equipment.
  • Work closely with customers and manufacturers to coordinate all aspects of delivery, installation assistance, start-up and warranty issues
  • Learn and apply internal processes and programs to maximize customer satisfaction and increase overall productivity

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in Windows environment, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, TEAMS, etc.
  • Collaborative attitude that thrives in a team-based environment while supporting the team as an individual contributor.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), coordination, and teamwork skills.
