The Little Gym of Virginia Beach is now hiring a highly energetic and motivated teacher/instructor to join our amazing children’s fitness facility to teach gymnastics to children ranging in ages from 4 mos.-12 yrs old. The teacher/instructor must be great with kids and must be able to assist children with building skills and relationships in this unique fitness environment. The Little Gym teacher/Instructors have the flexibility to create their own gym class schedule between the days/hours of Monday-Sunday 8:30am-8:30pm. PAID TRAINING PROVIDED! The Little Gym sets the standard for progressive motor-skill development by providing children with a foundation of confidence through our unique non-competitive, gymnastics-based programs. Our Parent/Child, Pre-K, and Grade School gymnastics classes, as well as our Sports Skills programs, encourage children to develop at their own pace.

Children’s Gymnastics Instructor Responsibilities:

• Interact with children and parents on a daily basis

• Teach exceptional gymnastics classes

• Provide assistance to other instructors and staff at all levels on an as needed basis

• Conduct administrative tasks such as phone calls, lesson plans, class announcements, etc...on a daily/weekly basis

• Work in a committed staff setting where teamwork and helping one another is a priority

• Maintain safe, clean, and fun environment

Children’s Gymnastics Instructor Qualifications:

Applicants must strongly possess:

• Sincere love of children

• Strong work ethic

• Positive outlook and willingness to learn

• Social/relationship building skills

• Exceptional communication skills

• Ability to be creative, imaginative and comfortable being engaged with the children in class

• Background in fitness (gymnastics, sports, dance, cheer, exercise science, early childhood development or related field)

• Experience working with children (examples include gymnastics instructor, preschool teacher or assistant, daycare, sports camps or similar experience)

• Ability to work non-traditional hours which may include late afternoon/evenings and weekends

As Instructors at The Little Gym, your primary responsibility will be to teach Children's gymnastics classes based on our proven curriculum and methodology. You will be provided a comprehensive training plan and will be working with a dynamic team of teachers who are committed to providing outstanding client satisfaction.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
