Job description

TSC is seeking an Electrical Engineer based in Bloomington, IN. The Electrical Engineer will provide engineering support to ongoing efforts at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane. The engineer will apply expert-level hardware engineering skills to dissect complex naval systems, identify and document component-level details, and develop repeatable processes to support sustainment, modernization, and lifecycle management activities. Our diverse portfolio includes providing full lifecycle support in Precision Strike and Area Effects; Area Protection; Airborne Sensors and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR); Vehicle Protection; Electronic Warfare Systems; Air and Missile Defense; Space Systems, and Intelligence and Information Systems. Responsibilities: This position requires a flexible individual with experience in Electrical Engineering at a variety of levels. Depending on their expertise, this person's responsibilities would include some or all of the following: * Identify, remove, and categorize internal hardware components and subassemblies.
* Analyze system architecture, interconnects, signal paths, and functional hardware blocks.
* Develop comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) and parts lists for each system.
* Document hardware configurations, component specifications, cabling, connectors, and assemblies.
* Produce engineering documentation that aligns with NSWC Crane standards and Navy technical requirements
* Design and write detailed hardware test procedures for system evaluation, functional testing, and component verification.
* Collaborate with test engineers and technicians to validate procedures.
* Support creation of acceptance test plans, diagnostic processes, and troubleshooting workflows.
* Provide hardware-focused engineering recommendations for repair, modification, or lifecycle support.
* Support failure analysis activities and assist in root-cause investigations.
* Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and program discussions with government stakeholders.
Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering discipline with 0+ years with internship/co-op experience in a related field or a Master's degree.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance Preferred Qualifications: * Knowledge of electrical circuits and reading schematics
* Skilled in diagnosing and repairing power electronics systems
* Development and validation of troubleshooting and repair procedures
* Conducting hazard analysis for high-voltage work environments
* Experience with silicone and epoxy-based high-voltage encapsulation materials
