Job description

Under supervision of the Senior HR Business Partner and mentoring by human resource managers, this position will support the HR Excellence Team in various functions, gaining hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and HR administration within a manufacturing environment.
NOTE: Minimum of 1-year commitment (two consecutive semesters), Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and qualifies for school credit.
This co-op opportunity is ideal for individuals who desire to gain HR experience in a professional setting while working full-time and attending classes at night or on weekends.
First semester pay rate: $20.60/h
Second rotation pay rate: $22.06/h
Third rotation pay rate: $23.53/h
Fourth rotation pay rate: $25.00/h
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • You must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor's or associate degree in human resources or a related field.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee human resources projects assigned by the Senior HR Business Partner.
  • Assist in recruitment processes, including coordinating onsite scheduling availability and resume screening.
  • Help maintain HR records, including personnel files and compliance documentation.
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives and workplace culture development.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Support performance management efforts.
  • Assignments will increase in complexity based on demonstrated proficiency and experience.
  • Other tasks may be assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Interest in HR compliance, labor laws, and employee relations.
  • Interest in Project Management.
  • Willingness to collaborate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • A desire to learn the company's business and industry, coupled with a desire for professional growth.
  • Computer literacy with proficient use of Microsoft Suite.
  • Clear, concise, professional communication with peers and associates.
