The Federal Work Study - Human Resources Representative is primarily responsible for effectively coordinating and supporting the Talent Acquisition team and additionally supporting the Human Resources Operations teams in the daily operations of the Human Resources Department.
This position requires the ability to understand and learn applicable rules, laws and policies to support Human Resources department initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment Support
  • Provide administrative support for the Academy's Human Resources Recruitment team, including pre-employment administrative support.
  • Provide support for screening resumes and scheduling interviews.
  • Maintain effective and timely communication with candidates.
  • Review and send candidates to appropriate Academic Departments.
  • Support Recruiters as needed, including assisting with coordination of interviews in Outlook and scheduling Zoom calls.
  • Provide superior customer service to candidates and internal and external customers throughout the recruitment process; ensure all verbal and written communications are accurate, clear, concise, and professional.
  • Support the pre-employment recruitment process as directed by Talent Acquisition Manager.
  • Monitors and assists with the Recruitment email inbox

Department Administrative Support
  • Interfacing with other FWS students:
    • Being a point of contact for other FWS by fielding emails
    • Joining the FWS onboarding session to share experience as FWS
    • Supporting the management of the FWS orientation table at the start of the semester
  • Advertise and be a point of contact for FWS opportunities at ArtU student events
  • Other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with current students, faculty, and staff.
  • Comfortable conducting outbound phone calls and receiving inbound calls to provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with university policies and federal regulations.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new software systems.

Length of Employment: The student's starting term at the Academy of Art University through graduation.
