Job Description

The Director, Media Activation will implement and oversee programmatic adtech activation solutions for our Retailer CX client portfolio. This individual will manage a team of retailer onsite campaign activations, adtech development needs, and campaign management for the agency's Retail and Commerce Media Network clients.  

Candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our Chicago, Southfield, Rogers, Minneapolis, or NYC office for a hybrid work schedule. 

The Director, Media Activation's primary focus will be implementation and management for a large luxury retail department store client. This individual will manage a team of onsite Sponsored Search Activation Specialists and provide thought leadership for Onsite Display. This individual will be responsible for implementing and executing high-performing, efficient, margin-conscious and error-free digital Sponsored Search ad campaigns on the Retailer's website. The candidate will be accountable for setting team and individual goals; foster relationships across-departments to ensure the Activation Team has the requirements needed to successfully accomplish their goals; and develop successful campaign set up, and buying solutions that align with business needs.

The Director, Media Activation will report to the Vice President, Retail Media & Data Strategy. The candidate will also work in lockstep with the Director of Operationalization, Director of Financial Operations, and collaborate with the Sales and Client Leadership teams.

ACCOUNTABILITIES + REQUIREMENTS: 

Lead Onsite Retailer Activations inclusive of Sponsored Search, Display, and VideoDevelop tracking/tagging strategies for retailers (e.g., for onsite campaigns using Google Ad Manager)Manage the development, trafficking, and optimizations of advertising campaignsLead campaign troubleshooting and issue resolution with client teams, creative agencies, and clients as requiredManage client activations, inclusive of onsite strategy development, QA, campaign creation and management, optimization, report delivery, and client communicationOversee the day-to-day workload, training and career development of 5 -6  direct reports

SKILLSETS REQUIRED:

6+ years in a hands-on role in managing AdTech platformsProficient in Onsite Sponsored Search management and strategyAdvanced experience with ad trafficking, digital marketing, campaign managementAdvanced experience with AdTech implementation (CM360, GAM etc.)Advanced in SQL; Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, and Python experience is a plusAdvanced knowledge of display, video, social, DSP and DMP tech needs with media providers such as DV360, TTD, Meta, LiveRamp, and CM360.Expertise in cross-channel and cross-device tracking, optimization, and attribution, using platforms like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Adjust.Easily handle multiple competing priority initiatives at once, who is a self-starter with ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced, results-oriented environmentAbility and track record of cultivating strong relationships both internally and externallyAdditional Information

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
