Job description

The Sr. Engineer, Application Development & Maintenance is responsible for supporting large scale S4 transformation post Go-live and delivering on critical initiatives in S4 SAP BRIM Convergent Mediation (CM) with in Cardinal Opti Freight business.

This role is critical in designing, developing, and supporting high-volume mediation pipelines that process usage and event-based data for accurate downstream billing and revenue management.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate CM with external systems via SFTP, EDI, and other usage data platforms
  • Design and Develop mediation rules, mappings and transformation logic using Java within SAP Convergent Mediation (CM)
  • Build and maintain pipelines to process high-volume usage/event data(CDRs)
  • Support event collections, usage normalization, data validation, data transformation logic, error handling, event enrichment, Routing and filtering rules, Aggregation and normalization processes, duplicate detection and correction.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable event processing for downstream billing and charging systems.
  • Support enterprise event processing and billing data management operations.
  • Monitor adapters, perform reconciliation, re-process failed CDRs.
  • Optimize high-volume pipelines and ensure data integrity end-to-end
  • Ensure Target Data mapping and forwarding agents and deliver consumption items for CC & CI.
  • Document interface control agreements and troubleshooting SOPs.
  • Perform fit-gap analysis between business requirements and BRIM functionalities to advocate for SAP standard best practices
  • Hands on experience in using AI tools to boost productivity and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership in planning/sequencing of end-to-end design workshops and support facilitation of workshops, leveraging knowledge of industry best practices and application of global SAP implementation experience.
  • Contribute to the complete set of cutover tasks and dependencies that will enable a successful release of program code and configuration
  • Ability to convert technical/functional specifications into test scenarios and test scripts
  • Identifying synergies and optimization areas within the BRIM and manage the execution.
  • Keeping up with emerging technologies and changes in business processes.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with all key stakeholders and provide timely and effective communications, including appropriate status updates.
  • Customer focused and deep understanding of business needs.
  • Driving end-user satisfaction by using specific metrics.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the teams during problem solving and crisis management.
  • Provide solution leadership, organizing, and overseeing projects.
  • Solution ownership of new build project and enhancement for BRIM
  • Influencing internal and external clients to leverage out of the box solutions and reducing customizations.
  • Help in completing effort estimates, preparing proposals, and collaborating with functional partners to deliver solutions for value-add business functions.
  • Collaborating with other process tower leaders to ensure a cohesive solution without impacting cross functional and downstream processes or applications.
  • Ensure all critical BRIM processes are properly monitored and alerted; and automate recurrent incidents.
  • Closely follows the strategic direction set by the segment and executes on priority goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 8+ years' experience in SAP, Minimum 2 years of experience in BRIM, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of usage event collection, mediation rules.
  • Hands-on Java scripting for CM logic.
  • Working knowledge of CC, CI/FI-CA and overall BRIM flow.
  • Telco, utilities or subscription billing domain experience With over 30 Million CDRs/Year
  • Configure Mediation zone, workflows, and pipelines
  • Hands on experience gathering requirements and creating functional specs.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, organizational and planning skills
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with ASAP (Accelerated SAP) Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong experience in completing effort estimates, preparing proposals, and collaborating with our functional partners to deliver quality business solutions.
  • Ability to develop individuals and teams.

Anticipated salary range: $123,400 - $176,300
