Centra Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Delivery Closing Specialist in Columbus, Indiana. The Mortgage Delivery Closing Specialist is responsible for preparing all closing documents and funding wires to be sent to the title company. This position will also coordinate scheduling loans closings with the title company and member. They will maintain closing report information; follow up on returned files. And is responsible for providing funded mortgage files to the Servicing Area and completing all General Ledger (GL) transfers related to each file.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position may be required to perform additional duties as requested. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform.
  • Updates loan information data on loan origination system and updates information prior to preparing closing documents.
  • Processes necessary documents for loan closing packages, prepares net funding data to be reconciled with the title company.
  • Prepares loan funding wires.
  • Coordinates the closing date and time with the title company and the Mortgage Delivery Consultant on behalf of the member.
  • Reviews executed loan document package and forwards to the Servicing Area.
  • Reviews and updates various monthly reports.
  • Follows up with the title company in getting signed, completed mortgage package and verifies package for completeness.
  • Conducts a pre-closing audit for files selected by the Mortgage Delivery Closing Manager.
  • Attends BSA/Compliance training and complies with all applicable requirements.
  • Completes Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA's) on all files.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - (Equivalent combination of Education & Experience will be considered.)
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Under one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
