Job description

As a Contracts Administrator II - Closeout, you will play a vital role in supporting the closeout process for assigned programs, ensuring that all contractual obligations are properly completed and documented. You will collaborate closely with Contract Managers to facilitate contract closeout activities, provide administrative support, and maintain effective communication with customers. Leveraging your expertise, you'll ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer expectations. Your responsibilities will include the initial stages of contract administration such as reviewing, documenting, and tracking contracts to ensure a seamless and accurate closeout process.As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with internal departments to prepare responses to customer correspondence and closeout requests.

  • Ensure all contract documents, deliverables, and funding information are accurately posted and updated.

  • Track and report on outstanding closeout tasks monthly, highlighting any issues or delays to all assignees.

  • Review outstanding closeout tasks and coordinate completion with assignees.

  • Assist Contract Managers in initiating and executing closeout tasks, managing documentation, and ensuring timely routing for approvals.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure disposition of government property documentation is tracked and posted.

  • Analyze and resolve obstacles in contract closeout activities, ensuring all requirements are fulfilled.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.

  • Create and maintain closeout process documents.

  • Provide guidance and training for contracts and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in a related field.

  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.

  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

  • Experience with government contracting.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Skills to plan, organize, attention to detail, multi-task, prioritize, and execute assigned workload to meet multiple deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry.

  • Familiarity with government contract requirements and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) regulations.

  • Certification in contract management [e.g., National Contract Management Association (NCMA)].

  • Understanding of contract law and regulations.

  • Ability to problem solve - applying originality, creativity and initiative.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work primarily in an office environment.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

  • Ability to travel occasionally for training or contract negotiations.
