About the Job

We're looking for a motivated undergraduate student to join our Clinical Operations team as a paid intern. You'll work closely with our clinical ops to support our active clinical studies and research programs and gain hands-on exposure to how a clinical-stage biotech runs its trials from the inside. This is a great fit for someone considering a career in clinical research, biotech, or medicine who wants real-world experience beyond the classroom. This role reports to Associate Director, Clinical Operations.

Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, preferably in biology, public health, health sciences, psychology, or a related field
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to be in our San Francisco office 4 hours per/week at a minimum
Preferred Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a master's program, preferably in biology, public health, health sciences, or a life sciences related field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and asks good questions
  • Experience in clinical research
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the team with clinical trial activities across different programs
  • Assist with maintaining and organizing clinical and regulatory documents (e.g., study trackers, correspondence logs, study files, creating forms on a case-by-case basis)
  • Assist with retrospective data analysis in commercial programs
  • Help prepare materials for internal meetings, build presentation slides, study updates, and cross-functional team coordination
  • Provide general administrative and project support to the Clinical Operations team as needed
  • Learn to work within GCP-compliant processes and gain familiarity with clinical trial workflows

In your first six months some projects you'll work on include:

  • Support the clinical team with upcoming studies and general project management
  • Get comfortable with tracking study forms and tasks
  • Help prepare presentation materials
Logistics
  • Compensation: This position has a hourly range of $20-$28 an hour. Ossium Health takes a market-based approach to pay. The successful candidate's starting rate will be determined based on, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. This range may be modified in the future.
  • Duration: 9-12 months pending start date
  • Hours: Part-time 10-30 hours/week based on availability
  • Location: Hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area
