We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team at Well Span Health Network in Chicago, IL. This remote position is designed to provide flexibility while maintaining a strong connection to the vital work being done at our Detox Center. As an LCSW, you will engage in regular virtual team meetings, participate in training, ensure compliance with organizational policies, and collaborate with fellow social workers and mental health professionals. The work schedule is predominantly during standard business hours, with occasional evening and weekend commitments for special events or client needs.

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients in the Detox Center to identify their social, emotional, and psychological needs, utilizing a strengths-based approach.
• Provide individualized counseling services and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic methodologies that resonate with clients’ unique circumstances and challenges.
• Develop and implement personalized service plans that align with clients’ goals, facilitating their journey toward recovery and overall well-being.
• Advocate fiercely for clients’ rights, assisting them in accessing necessary resources such as financial support, housing assistance, and health services while addressing critical social justice issues.
• Contribute to program development, including evaluating ongoing initiatives, and ensuring compliance with grant reporting requirements.
• Foster and nurture collaborative partnerships with community organizations, support groups, and government entities to enhance resource access and service delivery.
• Engage actively in outreach activities to educate and inform the community about available services and the importance of mental health and recovery.

This role primarily serves clients dealing with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. You will work closely with diverse individuals and families, providing personalized support through their detoxification process and beyond. Understanding the unique sociocultural backgrounds of your clients is essential to effectively tailor interventions and foster a therapeutic alliance.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-informed care, mental health interventions, and social justice principles is essential.
• Exceptional communication skills, empathy, and the ability to establish rapport with diverse clientele.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in client documentation and service plans.

• Experience working within nonprofit organizations or similar healthcare settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with community resources and services available to individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges.
• Previous involvement in case management, crisis intervention, and outreach work is a plus.
