Marshall Health Network is seeking a Clinical Nursing Informaticist and Analytics Coordinator to lead the intersection of nursing, data, and technology in our evolving healthcare environment. In this key role, you'll help drive clinical transformation by improving workflows, implementing evidence-based practices, and leveraging clinical data and information systems to enhance patient outcomes and care delivery.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for planning, reviewing, and controlling all activities and functions of clinical transformation by using Information Technology to continually assess and improve the way patient care is delivered, providing managerial, technical, and motivational leadership.

The Clinical Nursing Informaticist Coordinator will drive clinical transformation through careful analysis of current processes and workflows, as well as change management strategies that align with Marshall Health Network's strategic plan, values, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve transformation by accounting for the patient's view of continuity of care, departmental view of integration, and all clinical disciplines' view of best practice.
  • Leverage available resources, metrics, benchmarks, system standards, policies, and procedures across the system to achieve transformation.

  • Demonstrate informatics knowledge and skills required in a large, complex system-level Information System to ensure the efficient, effective, and consistent delivery of high-quality services.

  • Work closely with system, service line, and facility leadership and resources to assist in the design and continued improvements of the Clinical Information Systems (CIS) system.

  • Build consensus around the process, workflow, and content for nursing practice.

  • Analyze clinical workflows and recommend evidence-based, tech-enabled improvements.

  • Support the design, optimization, and implementation of clinical information systems.

  • Promote system-wide standardization of nursing documentation, care processes, and best practices.

  • Leverage data and analytics to measure performance, support decision-making, and improve outcomes.

  • Serve as a liaison between nursing, IT, and other clinical departments.

  • Facilitate training, support, and communication strategies related to CIS.

  • Participate in MHN Transformation Teams and contribute to organizational innovation.

Education:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field - Required

  • Master's degree - Preferred

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Active RN license - Required

  • Certification in Clinical/Health Informatics - Preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-5 years of position-related experience required

  • 5+ years of experience in nursing informatics or clinical transformation preferred

  • Experience in a clinical healthcare setting and working with clinical information systems

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools

  • Project management and reporting experience is a plus
