JOB DESCRIPTION - EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO PRESIDENT/CEO & CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Department: Leadership

POSITION SUMMARY
The position of Executive Assistant to the President/CEO and Chief Financial Officer for the Center for Organ Recovery & Education is one of significant responsibility. The Executive Assistant to the President/CEO and Chief Financial Officer is responsible to and works under the direction of the President/CEO. They will be responsible for completing any and all correspondence and project work generated by the President/CEO and the Chief Financial Officer. They will assist with administrative support to the CORE Board and Board Committees. They will serve as an integral member of the Leadership Team and contribute to the strategic planning and success of the organization. They will participate and lead special projects as determined by the President/CEO. They will work flexible hours to assist with the growth and development of the OPO and the Administrative Department.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Executive Assistant to the President/CEO and Chief Financial Officer of the Center for Organ Recovery & Education is responsible for completing any and all correspondence which will include Board and Committee minutes, administrative letters to donor hospitals and transplant centers. They will coordinate all meetings and travel for the President/CEO, Chief Financial Officer and the Finance Department. They will create and maintain appropriate files. They will coordinate the President/CEO and Chief Financial Officer daily schedules of appointments and commitments. They will coordinate all CORE Board meetings and Board Committee Meetings, maintain minutes and distribute them to Board members. They will participate in and coordinate the Board Retreat. They will participate in Special Place preparation and planning of the program. They will, on occasion, prepare information in large volumes for the general public and healthcare community. High level of confidentiality and sensitivity is required. The ability to use critical thinking and independent judgment is essential. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial.
JOB QUALIFICATONS:
The primary duty of the Executive Assistant is the performance of non-manual office work which is directly related to the general business operations of the Organization and its Board of Directors. In addition, the daily discretion and judgment are utilized with respect to matters of significance within the OPO environment. The Executive Assistant uses obtained advanced knowledge from a post-secondary education and a minimum of 5 years Executive Assistant experience. An additional five or more year's executive experience will be considered in lieu of education.
DEGREE OF JOB DIFFICULTY:
Since the Executive Assistant to the President/CEO and Chief Financial Officer's work is monitored by the President/CEO and the Chief Financial Officer, the degree of difficulty falls into the significant range. Inadvertent errors or mistakes could result in loss of relationships with Board members, legislators, business partners, OPOs, staff, donor families, donor hospitals, transplant centers and the community served by CORE. Legal action is possible if information is transcribed incorrectly.
