How much do clinical advisor jobs pay per year?
What is a clinical advisor?
A clinical advisor instructs and makes recommendations to non-clinical staff on medical issues. Clinical advisors may work in hospitals, health care facilities, pharmaceutical companies, or similar organizations. Specific job duties vary, depending on the type of organization. In a health care facility, clinical advisors guide non-medical staff on how to care for a high-risk patient. A medical device corporation may have clinical advisors teach retailers or hospital staff how to use their equipment and match a device to the appropriate patient. Government agencies may utilize the expertise of clinical advisors to create curriculum and informational packets on specific health issues for community members. Many clinical advisors are former registered nurses or have extensive experience in the health care industry.
How does a clinical advisor typically collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams?
What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a clinical advisor, and why are they important?
What is the difference between Clinical Advisor vs Clinical Specialist?
| Aspect | Clinical Advisor | Clinical Specialist |
|---|---|---|
| Required Credentials | Typically requires a healthcare degree (RN, PT, etc.) and relevant certifications | Similar credentials, often with specialized certifications in a specific field |
| Work Environment | Advises healthcare teams, participates in policy development, and provides clinical guidance | Provides specialized clinical support, training, and expertise in specific products or procedures |
| Employer & Industry Usage | Hospitals, healthcare organizations, pharmaceutical companies | Medical device companies, pharmaceutical firms, healthcare providers |
Both roles require healthcare credentials and involve clinical expertise, but a Clinical Advisor focuses on strategic guidance and policy, while a Clinical Specialist provides hands-on support and training in specific clinical areas.

Joining ConcertAI means working alongside bold thinkers, builders, and healthcare experts on innovative, high-impact products that directly improve patient lives. You'll be part of a fast-growing, mission-driven organization at the forefront of AI-enabled healthcare, with meaningful opportunities for growth and leadership.
Your Opportunity
As a Clinical Solutions Advisor at TeraRecon, you will leverage your extensive clinical expertise in CT and/or MR, 3D post-processing, AI, and advanced imaging software to lead customer success efforts and drive the strategic adoption of TeraRecon solutions. With a focus on customer advocacy, product expertise, and process optimization, you will play a key role in ensuring customers achieve maximum value from their TeraRecon investment. You will lead critical customer engagements and collaborate closely with internal teams to improve customer experience, expand product usage, and advocate for customer needs in product development.
The position is a remote US employee with travel up to 75%.
How You'll Make an Impact
Training & Development:
- Design and deliver advanced training sessions, clinical demonstrations, and workshops for clinicians and decision-makers on the full TeraRecon product suite, including 3D post-processing and AI capabilities.
- Oversee the creation and localization of training materials to ensure they are relevant, high-quality, and tailored to customer needs.
- Lead efforts to continuously improve training processes, ensuring that clinicians of all levels can optimize their use of TeraRecon solutions.
- Provide expert-level guidance to customers on advanced imaging post-processing techniques and best practices.
Strategic Sales & Product Advocacy:
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to identify and seize opportunities for growth and expansion within large, multi-divisional organizations.
- Advocate for TeraRecon products within the healthcare community, driving adoption, promoting the value proposition, and identifying new opportunities for customer advocacy (e.g., case studies, testimonials).
- Represent the voice of the customer in internal strategy meetings to influence product roadmaps, enhancements, and the development of new features based on customer needs.
Process & Workflow Optimization:
- While onsite, confirm the optimization of clinical workflows and system integrations, ensuring that TeraRecon products are deployed in a way that maximizes operational efficiency and clinical outcomes.
- Spearhead efforts to streamline internal processes and improve the customer experience, ensuring high-level service delivery and product adoption across diverse healthcare environments.
- Identify and drive continuous improvements in customer success practices and operational processes, aligning them with broader organizational goals.
Thought Leadership & Industry Presence:
- Represent TeraRecon as a thought leader in the imaging and healthcare technology space, participating in key industry conferences, symposia, and workshops.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and technologies to guide customers and the company in the adoption of innovative imaging and post-processing solutions.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for customer feedback, ensuring continuous alignment of TeraRecon's offerings with market needs.
Team & Culture Development:
- Foster a culture of collaboration, ensuring that all team members work effectively with internal stakeholders to meet customer needs.
- Adopt and promote new technologies, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and demonstrating a strong customer-first mentality.
- Willing to travel up to 75% as required
What You'll Bring
- AART License; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- ARRT Certified with 8+ years of practical hands-on CT or MR experience in a clinical environment (hospital, imaging center, etc.).
- Previous experience with Terarecon products, strongly preferred.
- Deep expertise in medical terminology, imaging systems, PACS, EHR, and imaging post-processing software.
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead critical customer engagements and complex troubleshooting efforts.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to analyze clinical data and translate insights into actionable recommendations for customers.
- Proficiency in clinical workflow optimization, with a focus on integrating technology into diverse healthcare environments.
- Strong familiarity with AI-based imaging tools, and an understanding of emerging technologies in healthcare imaging.
- Superior communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership, clinicians, and technical teams.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple complex accounts simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities, with a focus on driving team performance and success.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a strong result-driven mentality and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites, trade shows, and symposia as needed (approx.75% travel).
