Position: Technical Specialist - Junior
Location: Raleigh, NC (27610)
Client: State of North Carolina
Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description:
We are seeking a Technical Specialist with extensive experience in Java development to address compatibility issues in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. The ideal candidate will enhance and maintain interfaces for a custom application while contributing to future development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve Java-related upgrade issues between RHEL versions.
  • Enhance and maintain Java, C/C++, and ASP.NET/C# interfaces for a construction tracking application.
  • Analyze, design, code, and test bug fixes and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate effectively in a remote software development environment.
  • Translate business processes into technical requirements for IT users.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Significant development experience in Java, particularly with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Strong SQL skills (Sybase or any database platform).
  • Experience in a remote software development setting.
  • Solid analytical and technical skills.
  • Proven communication abilities for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
