PERSONAL TRAINER
Position Summary
The Personal Trainer is responsible for delivering exceptional coaching experiences that help members achieve measurable fitness results. This role focuses on providing high-quality personal training sessions, developing customized fitness programs, tracking client progress, and creating an outstanding member experience that promotes long-term retention.
In addition to coaching, Personal Trainers have opportunities to contribute to department growth through Success Sessions, member consultations, and personal training sales. The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness, highly motivated, and committed to helping members succeed while growing their own career.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Member Coaching & Training
• Deliver safe, effective, and engaging one-on-one personal training sessions.
• Design individualized fitness programs based on each member's goals, fitness level, and abilities.
• Educate members on proper exercise technique, equipment usage, and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Monitor client progress and adjust programs as needed to maximize results.
• Conduct regular body composition assessments and performance evaluations.
• Maintain accurate client records, workout programming, and progress notes.
Member Experience
• Build strong relationships that encourage long-term member engagement and retention.
• Provide exceptional service by creating a motivating, professional, and results-driven coaching environment.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients between sessions to support accountability and success.
• Deliver an outstanding experience during every interaction with members.
Sales & Department Growth
• Conduct Success Sessions and fitness consultations as assigned.
• Identify member needs and recommend appropriate personal training programs.
• Assist with personal training sales and recurring membership growth.
• Follow up with prospective clients and members interested in personal training.
• Support department initiatives designed to increase member engagement and training participation.
Team & Club Responsibilities
• Participate in staff meetings, educational workshops, and continuing education opportunities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment.
• Assist with group training, club events, and member engagement activities as needed.
• Promote Workout Anytime's culture of professionalism, accountability, and exceptional member service.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Fitness Director or General Manager.
Qualifications
Required
• Nationally recognized Personal Training certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA, NSCA, or equivalent).
• Current CPR/AED Certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for health, wellness, and helping others succeed.
• Ability to motivate and inspire members of all fitness levels.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Preferred
• Previous experience as a Personal Trainer or Fitness Coach.
• Sales or consultation experience within a fitness environment.
• Experience conducting body composition assessments and fitness evaluations.
• Specialized certifications in corrective exercise, nutrition, or strength and conditioning.
