The Tax Manager is a key member of our tax department, responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing multiple tax engagements, and delivering high-quality tax compliance and consulting services to a diverse client base. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Serve as primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring delivery of timely, high-quality tax services.
โ€ข Develop and execute tax planning strategies for corporations, partnerships, individuals, trusts, and estates.
โ€ข Address complex tax matters and proactively identify planning opportunities.
โ€ข Oversee preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
โ€ข Manage due dates and deliverables for multiple client engagements.
โ€ข Stay current with the latest tax legislation, IRS rulings, and industry developments.
โ€ข Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide clear, actionable advice to clients and staff.

โ€ข Delegate work appropriately and review work product for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to firm standards.
โ€ข Contribute to staff performance evaluations and promote professional growth.
โ€ข Identify opportunities to cross-sell firm services and expand client relationships.
โ€ข Participate in networking, marketing events, and firm initiatives.
โ€ข Contribute to proposals, presentations, and the onboarding of new clients.


Qualifications:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting or related field required; Masterโ€™s in Taxation or Accounting preferred.
โ€ข CPA license required.
โ€ข Minimum 5 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
โ€ข Proficiency in tax preparation and research software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, BNA); advanced MS Excel skills.
โ€ข Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex tax issues to clients and staff.
โ€ข Strong project management, time-management, and multi-tasking abilities.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams in a collaborative and supportive environment.
