Are you an Accounting or Finance professional who enjoys building relationships, solving complex challenges, and driving results? Do you thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment where your performance directly impacts your success? If so, Vaco offers an opportunity to grow your career while making a meaningful impact with clients.

We are a firm comprised of former accountants and Big 4 alumni. Our clients include CFOs, VPs, and other senior-level leaders. They trust us because we speak their language and can understand their needs.

A Day in the Life

Your CFO client just called. Her accounting department could use help prepping for an upcoming audit. Or maybe she needs a Technical Accountant to assist with an IPO. As Director of Client Service, it is up to you, in partnership with your delivery team, to present the right solution and consulting team at the right time. This critical position is responsible for promoting Vaco to the business community for strategic projects in the CFO organization, including areas of expertise such as accounting, finance, tax, audit, and more.

  • Grow and develop strong relationships with senior accounting & financial leaders.
  • Connect with area business leaders by phone, email, in-person meetings, and professional networking events.
  • Work with an elite recruitment team to fulfill special projects and interim positions in audit, financial reporting, FP&A, M&A, taxation, software implementations, and more.
  • Keep a regular pulse on the market as it relates to businesses and hiring trends. (e.g., Expansions, mergers/acquisitions, dissolutions, relocations, new businesses entering the market, etc....)
  • Actively develop and maintain a target client list.
  • Manage open client opportunities from intake to fulfillment.
  • Provide high level oversight on existing engagements.
  • Manage your daily and weekly schedule and activities in alignment with productivity goals.

The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only. They are not an exhaustive list of all required responsibilities, duties, and skills. Other duties may be added, or this description amended at any time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

What we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. CPA, CFA, MBA or related designation highly preferred.
